Prof. Perkowski's research in evolutionary methods is on developing efficient logic synthesis algorithms that use Genetic Algorithm, Genetic Programming and their combinations/mixtures with heuristic programming search algorithms. We developed algorithms for minimization of various canonical AND/EXOR forms, such as FPRM and GRM. Our algorithm was one of the first applications of GA in logic synthesis in the literature.

Currently we work on Lamarckian Genetic Algorithm, in which the knowledge gained by the phenotype is inherited by the genotype. We apply this method to the minimization of incompletely specified functions.

Prof. Zwick's research is on application of GA in proteine folding and on Artificial Life. (please give me more information).

Prof. Greenwood's research is on evolutionary computation with application to Proteine Folding, Neural Nets, and Design Automation. (please give me more information).
