PSU INTELLIGENT ROBOTICS LABORATORY: NEWS FOR YEAR 2003



  1. Winter quarter Intelligent Robotics class is taught by Bjorn Chambless and Jamie Hudson. Prof. Perkowski is in Korea, working for KAIST. Giant Hexapod of Bjorn and Jamie is completed and demonstrated.

  2. Spring Quarter Martin Lukac joins Dr. Perkowski in KAIST where they work on humanoid robotics and quantum circuit design using evolutionary algorithms.

  3. Spring Quarter We present our paper on using machine learning in talking head robot project at the ICORR (International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics), KAIST, Daejeon, Republic of Korea.

  4. Summer term Dr. Perkowski and Mr. Lukac work in KAIST on applying ideas from quantum circuits to control simple robots. This is a new topics, not known from the literature.

  5. Fall term Jake Biamonte elected chair of PSU IEEE Robotics and Automation Student chapter. New lab projects start.
