ABOUT THE MASEEH COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE

Electrical and Computer Engineering is one of five departments within the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science. Postbac Bridge to MS

Students with a bachelors degree in a field other than electrical or computer engineering can join our bridge program to gain the knowledge necessary to go straight into our masters program. Follow the link below for more details.

Fast Track BS+MS

The Fast Track B.S.+M.S. program allows up to 20 credits of ECE graduate credits to be used for both the BS in Electrical Engineering degree or BS in Computer Engineering and the MS in ECE degree.

Computing Architectures

To enable new generations of computationally- and energy-efficient information processing engines over the next decade, our research focuses on a reconceptualization of the science and technology underlying the current approaches to co-design emerging devices, materials, interconnects, and physical phenomena.

Environmental Sensing and Monitoring

The areas of sensor system development, on-board signal processing, controls, communications, and power are all core to Electrical Engineering. At Portland State, we focus on the Electrical Engineering challenges associated with the future of environmental sensing and monitoring.

Power Engineering

The Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at Portland State University currently has three areas focused on electric power: The Power Engineering Group, The Power Electronic Conversion Group, and the Laboratory for Magnetomechanical Energy Conversion & Control.

The Electronics Prototyping Lab (EPL)

The EPL is a lab for rapidly prototyping electronics projects. The EPL staff is available to remotely help students with lab kits, DIY building, or just making cool stuff in their garage.
